Damon System
Self-ligation, an innovative clinical technology, makes orthodontic treatment more efficient and more comfortable than ever before. The traditional treatment involving tying archwires in with elastic ties causes friction. This involves heavier forces to move the teeth, resulting in a longer treatment time. The Distal Jet is a non-compliant molar distalizing appliance that has virtually eliminated the need for the use of the headgear. This appliance efficiently and effectively distalizes the maxillary (upper) molars. When distalization is complete, the Distal Jet then acts as a holding arch. This appliance is comfortable for the patient and does not depend on patient cooperation, as does the headgear.

Herbst Appliance
At times when a patient is deficient in the growth of the lower jaw, the Herbst appliance can be used. Yet another non-compliant appliance, the Herbst will posture the patient's lower jaw in a forward direction. During treatment, this forward posture promotes growth in the same direction. The Herbst can be worn in conjunction with braces.
